Um i painted this on my little bros' wall...It was easier than i thought it would be, thankfully:)...i might paint a giraffe on the brown wall in green someday...if i ever get around to it...we shall see...

hi guys!
this is a quick sketch i did today... its been to long since iv posted a drawing...
i stumbled upon this pic and could not resist trying my hand at drawing it...anything i find beautiful or cute or awesome i Have to recreate. Not sure why, but thats how it is...
wish i knew who the original artist was cause i have a feeling id like other art pieces of theirs...
anyway i wish i was posting more regularly but lately iv been inspired to paint. And paintings always take much longer than drawings...I'm working on two paintings right now so hopefully il finish them soon!

Love

Today i was once again shown Jesus' huge unimaginable love...
Me, my sisters and my friend went to an old invalid lady's house. This old lady is actually not that old, i later found out to my great amazement. She is around 45 to 50 but she looks like 80. She is slowly dying of cancer, spending all day and all night in her little bed, for years. She can't get out of her bed much less the house, all she can do is lay there. And the only person to help her is her husband who is unwell himself...and  who is often drunk.      
 We walked into the little house and i was hit with a overpowering stench. I gagged at the cloying smell of body waste, vodka, smoke and chickens. I prayed desperately that Id stop gagging so the couple wouldn't see and so i could sing. God answered that prayer quickly(thank you Jesus) and i was able to ignore the smell and say 'Good Day' to Luba(that's the lady's name). We all grouped around the tiny,shriveled, white haired lady and i could see she was not getting the care she should be, not even close. When we started to sing she burst into tears and hid her face beneath the ragged blanket.As our voices filled the room Jesus gave me a glimpse of how much He loved this little forgotten dying lady. Tears pricked the backs of my eyelids as i saw her through His eyes and felt His sorrow knowing she didn't belong to him.
  After the songs my friend sat down to talk to her. I couldn't understand everything she said since im not very advanced in Ukrainian but i got the drift that she was telling her about God's grace and how Jesus loved her so much he died for her. And if she wanted to be His all she had to do was pray that He forgive her sins. My tears spilled over as Luba prayed and became one of His own. I saw peace flood her watery blue eyes and i smiled through my tears. She asked for another song so we sang one more and then left with the promise to come again.
 It made me feel so small to be part of something so big. The experience left me humbled. It is my prayer that i can be the hands and feet for Jesus.

p.s. As you can see i didnt post a piece of art...i havent had time lately to create anything...although i am working on two paintings, they are not near done yet...so yep no artwork for this post i guess...hope that's okay.. peace<3

Happiness

hey everybody! here is a painting that i worked on for about a year!i now know it even better than i know the back of my hand(much much better in fact!...where did that saying come from anyway?obviously from someone who was obsessed with staring at the backs of their hands..?*giggle*)
Yeah..it took forever!SO glad to have it done!! it was actually very sporadically worked on...didnt work on it for 3 months in the middle when i was in ukraine...as you may guess its sorta hard to work on a painting that is hundreds of miles away...heh heh..
My bro david http://binarysoda.blogspot.com/ drew it(cheers dave!) and i did the painting of it...
Um it was way to big(around 3ft by 2ft..?) to scan so i just took a picture...it doesn't show the colours very well(i promise they look better in real life) and i apologize for the blurriness...
we plan on selling it if i can find a gallery(or whatever) to display it... That will be a new thing indeed!...selling artwork...but yeah we'll "give it a go" :)  And maybe if it works i can sell more stuff...maybe...only then id have to be alot less sloppy and stuff...hmm novel idea!:D

p.s. in the meantime while i look for a place to sell the painting, it is displayed here and for sale to anyone who wants it...

Colourful

heey guys! its finally time for another post! its only been waaaay to long!
 So anyway this is a painting i did for school(imagine that!*shocked voice*)...it is quite different looking in real life..the scanner sadly can't transfer the colours as nicely as hoped(the yellow and green parts dont show well at all..sigh)..And this painting is quite large,about 1.5 ft by 2 feet...or something like that..
 This assignment had lotsa rules. i had to divide the face into quarters and then paint each quarter with a different colour scheme and tool(i could NOT use any brushes)...so i painted one section with a Q-tip(yay for those handy things!), one with my finger(also a handy thing *no pun intended* snort!), one with a sponge(bleh it was terrible unhandy!), and one was done with fabric ...and you know this is the first face iv ever painted! they sure made it hard enough *grimace* lol
it was fun though! maybe i will paint more faces this style! you just never know...

Self-portait

the first drawing is a *coff* self-portrait i drew when i was 12 or 13 and the second portait is one i drew for school just the other day!its kinda hard to tell them apart but...the new one is at least a little better to show the progress made through the years...heh heh!:) when i found the old portrait i laughed muchly:)  so yeah in a few years from now i probably will look back on this new portrait and laugh once more...or at least i hope i will cause i do want to keep on learning and getting better at drawing and art in general!so yeah anyway...im sorry both these portaits are quite sober and calm...im not usually that way:D but yeah aanyway you all have a delightful day! x0x0

im not totaly sure but i think i did this drawing to illustrate texture....happy summer grass:)

yet another picture made for school...i was surprised that colouring with pencil crayons actually worked as well as it did...i had many doubts! i just like using paints better but yeah anyway it was okay:)

When i heard this song it hit me hard that while people are crying out for help i sit in my happy little life and sing...yes they may be songs of praise to God ,which is all good, but he is calling me to help his lost lambs.And just a song won't heal. How can i just sit and sing while the hungry roam the streets,wounded and bleeding, yearning for something more!How can i sit in my little comfortable circle and do nothing...how can i not be screaming it out for the world to hear that the Jesus i serve is the wonderful-est best-est friend ever and that he'll be their friend to! God has given me so much and i needa share it with everyone! i need to arise and go and tell them of His incredible love! So my resolve is to stop being so selfish, to give of myself,to follow His call wherever He leads as scary as it may be. And with this resolve comes a great peace and happiness! i can't wait to shake myself from the dust and go:) Thank you Jesus for your great love and patience!!

balance

i did this drawing to show balance... asymmetrical balance to be precise...yeah...very uninspiring...
aanyway...its beginning to get very autumn-y here in ontario which is quite exciting! i love fall!!maby i shall paint some autumn colours soon cause they are always so beautiful!
